A Spectacular View
2018, digital projectionProjection of consecutive pairs of algorithmically generated green screens and text. Each newly generated green screen is always accompanied by a fragment of text that is randomly picked from a predefined list. The text refers to things that are gone, lost or fictional. Every pair exists for only five seconds until it forever disappears, after which a new pair is generated.
This work is a collaboration with Zeno Peeters who programmed the algorithm. It was made possible and selected by LUCA School of Arts to be shown at the Light Festival of Ghent 2018. Special thanks to Bitstream Visuals, Center Office, Mer du Nord and Terre Bleue.
